Starbucks

Although not a huge fan of the ‘Starbucks experience’ – I do quite like the look of their working environment… Dieline interviews the major players: –  Jennifer Quotson, Director of Visual Presentation; Jeffrey Fields, Vice president of Global Creative; and Jean-Marie Shields, Director of Brand Strategy and Expression. Nice to see all work is produced by their in-house studio…

Fitzhugh and Linsay of the Brooklyn Home Co

Stumbled across Design Sponge sometime last year – a wonderful site. These photos are part of their “sneak peak” pages where they interview and go behind the scenes of designers worldwide. The home I have selected is by Fitzhugh Karol and Linsay Caleo of The Brooklyn Home Co – (I still have a the kitchen shot with the dog Olive as my desktop at work). Possibly the best part is that most of the furniture has been made and crafted by this couple.

Pino – lifestyle store

“Pino is a market place for unique, functional and innovative design objects. The idea for the concept camefrom the name of the shop, Pino, which means a ‘pile’ or ‘stack’ in Finnish.That is taken visually into the new logo and the design of the shop fixtures.The interior concept with a subtle colour palette works as a background for thefresh, colourful identity and products.”
