Converse

Converse’s latest ad campaign – SHOES ARE BORING WEAR SNEAKERS – is pretty special. Love the photography and overall feel of this work. Quite hard to find much information about the designers or photographer – possibly put together by Amplify?

Claude Friese-Greene

Colour footage of London in 1926 shot by Claude Friese-Greene.

Friese-Greene shot a travelogue called The Open Road which captured his 840 mile road trip around Britain. The BFI restored the footage (way back in 2006) – a short of the full film featured here. You can buy the full version from the BFI.

Seems  I am a little behind the curve with this – Kevin Spacey, Stephen Fry and the Guardian have all featured or mentioned this…thanks to Mary E Winstead on twitter for posting…

Starbucks

Although not a huge fan of the ‘Starbucks experience’ – I do quite like the look of their working environment… Dieline interviews the major players: –  Jennifer Quotson, Director of Visual Presentation; Jeffrey Fields, Vice president of Global Creative; and Jean-Marie Shields, Director of Brand Strategy and Expression. Nice to see all work is produced by their in-house studio…

Full interview and more images via the Dieline.
